A Little Something About ~ABP~:
She is the lady who travelled extensively back and forth from Canada to Jamaica--carrying hockey-equipment size travel bags - literally LOADED with childrens' toys, jars of peanut butter, canned food items and many, many candy treats for the poor little ghetto children in JA!!! Sometimes, the buses and airlines would try refuse her bags-- saying too heavy. she would stand her ground with them and again with customs in JA!!
Arriving usually late at night,, the children would be awakened out of their many small cots at Grandma's small makeshift home--their dark eyes and white teeth glistening in the candlelight to see ~ABP~'s ARRIVAL!!!
So excited, they could hardly sleep again, knowing that at firstlight, the myraid of gifts that awaited them!! Oh what wonder!!
~ABP~'s happiest moment was to pour out all the surprises onto the lawn in the front yard and children would come running from seemingly every nook and cranny in JAMAICA to eagerly grab anything they could!!!
ONE HUNDRED YEARS OF CHRISTMAS all rolled into one day!!
Years forward, and most of those same children have now children of their own but still, the Innocent Child's Heart within, watches the gate--wishing ~ABP~ would return!!!
Want to make it happen??
Support ~MJIB CoTM. ~ and ~ABP~will make these same journey's to Africa, as well.
Like what you just read?? We have lots of wonderful pictures of ~ABP~ and all the children in JAMAICA who miss her dearly.

"Blood Fiyah, before me take one of them birds a fly uppa foreign, me have ta take out a huge life insurance policy, mon.," the dread exclaimed, as he eyed yet another huge jet lift up off of Mother Jamaica. We see dozens and dozens lift off everyday from our hillside home in the gunshot ghetto of Norwood, Montego Bay.
Many of the islanders have no desire to leave home. None, whatsoever. They feel safe within the "wall of blue" with is all you see of the world when the sky meets the sea.
Home. JAMAICA.

I have spent many years of living with the Rastas in JAMAICA. I will tell some stories here soon.
ABPTM
Jah Rastafari. Peace and Love Rasta Inity to InI.
The Rasta Elder peacefully departed from the "corna'shop", his feet dusty and his dreads trailing on the ground...he gone back uppa de hills--with his supplies--ya na gonna see "im for another 10 days or so.
All you soon can see is the last vestages of his kerosene lamp flickering behind the trees..him gone back up to him peace n quiet--away from the strains and stresses of de Babylon..

3/20/06.
While the majority of North Americans make it their life goal to acquire material wealth and burn oil, ~I~ quietly resolve to return Home to de countryside of JAMAICA when the responsibilities up here are taken care of.
Away from the mortage/debt lifestyle; expectations of two cars and the well-salaried partner with the pension and RRSP's rolling in---back to the simple life. Yes, it still exists--alongside satellite radio and laptops, even in the poorest ghetto's.
Mother Theresa left this world with only a few items to her name: a saree, a food bowl and a washcloth. Pope John Paul left with basically only his soul--he was renting everything in his apartment.
One thing living in JA taught me, its that your every word and footstep will be metered out One Day--its only a matter of time.
Until then, trod softly on the earth and remember that those whom you greet--may be your best friends tomorrow --you never can tell.
Jah Know.
